Tried and true Materials
Our preferred roofing manufacturer is Malarkey roofing, which has been working in Portland since the 1950s. We’ve found them to be the best for our Pacific Northwest climate. Not only are they great for the local area’s climate, but they are also made right in Portland, Oregon! We love being able to support a local manufacturer.
We also work with other brands and manufacturers to make sure your needs are met. We aim for 100% satisfaction.
Sheet Metal
Standing Seam metal roofing is one of the oldest and most practical roofing solutions. Its classical look enhances the roofline of virtually any architectural style. Standing Seam panels can be ordered in a variety of styles, with more than two dozen color choices or elegant natural bare metals. In bare metals, we offer all product profiles in copper and bare Zinc-alume® for a traditional metal look. In true copper, these products develop a natural patina over time. Standing Seam panels can be roll-formed on the jobsite to eliminate damage and waste.
Low slope Materials
In some cases, long lasting metal like snap lock or mechanical seem can be a great alternative to a low slope membrane, not always a feasible option definitely a good choice when roof structure allows.
Thermoplastic single ply membranes have taken the commercial industry by storm. They represent the fastest growing segment of the U.S. new construction roofing market over the past several years.
The PVC (polyvinyl-chloride) product is a reinforced membrane with tough hot-air welded seams. This material has excellent durability and dimensional stability and is the category leader for dependability and longevity. Since the 1960s PVC has an unblemished history of commercial roofing performance.
The TPO (thermoplastic-polyolefin) is relatively new to the single ply category; wide spread distribution and application started in the mid-1990s. TPO combines the hot-air welding benefit of PVC with the promise of greater flexibility and weather ability benefits. While TPO has good testing results, field performance results are varied and manufacturer formulation changes have been frequent and ongoing. TPO has become the roof of choice for new construction in the northwest due to more benefits in pricing than proven performance.
STORMROOF is proud to offer these technically advanced roofing systems to building owners, where the application is warranted.
